USHER III Research

The FSS is delighted to announce a new collaboration with the Usher III Initiative. Their only focus is on finding the causes and treatments for Usher III. This disease robs its victims of their vision and hearing.
The Initiative is currently funding eight leading scientists in the field of retinal and cochlear research at some of the top universities in the United States and Europe. The Usher III Initiative Scientific Advisory Board is comprised of high-level pharmaceutical executives, drug company specialists, and consultants with medical, pharmaceutical and biotechnology expertise.
This unique group combines traditional university researchers with industry experts to move the research forward. In the short time since the Usher III Initiative was formed, they have made tremendous strides in the research.

If you would like more information or have questions on their work, they can be reached at info@usheriii.org, or if you would like to contribute to their work, just go to Donations on this website, click the Usher III Initiative link, complete the form and request that your donation go to Usher III research in the Comments box.
