The Foundation for Sight & Sound offers motivational and inspirational speakers to community service, civic and professional organizations. The Foundation for Sight & Sound’s story began with one man’s struggle, but it has grown far beyond one man’s dreams. FSS founder, Mitchel Shapiro was diagnosed with Usher Syndrome, a disease that gradually robs its victims of both vision and hearing. It is the leading cause of deaf-blindness. Mitch Shapiro’s signature speaking program is, “Seeing Past the Obstacles – From One Who Knows.” You will NEVER hear the word can’t in Mitch’s presentations - he will tell you “you can do anything you put your mind to.” Mitch has been a featured speaker at elementary and secondary schools, colleges, corporate meetings and service groups including the Kiwanis, Rotary and Lion’s Club. There is no fee for Mitch’s services although a contribution to the Foundation for Sight & Sound will be gladly accepted.
