The Foundation For Sight & Sound awards funds for special projects that reflect its mission and are currently unfunded or under-funded by other sources. The Foundation For Sight & Sound prefers to fund programs that directly make a difference through service or support for one or more of the following groups:
- People who are deaf-blind
- People who are blind
- People who are deaf
- People who are visually impaired
- People who are hard of hearing
In addition, The Foundation For Sight & Sound has an interest in funding research projects that affect one or more of these groups, since research has the potential for long-term impact. The Foundation For Sight & Sound accepts grant applications twice a year: the deadlines are April 15 and November 15.
To be eligible for potential funding from the Foundation For Sight & Sound, your organization must qualify as a non-profit, 501(c) 3 organization. Funds are provided solely to organizations; individuals may not apply. The Foundation For Sight & Sound is not associated with any religious or political organization and therefore programs of a religious or political nature are not eligible for funding. In addition, groups and organizations whose activities are dedicated to advocacy are not eligible for funds. |
