Sight and sound…our two most precious senses. They color our world with majestic landscapes and children's laughter. These two senses connect us to the world and the people around us. Yet millions of Americans are legally blind and/or are profoundly deaf and live in a world devoid of these pleasures. And that's just part of the story, for visual and hearing loss are often partial, degenerative or intermittent, leaving millions with a diminishment of senses that impair their everyday functioning.
